Plans for today (2025)

It has to be over 1metre. Most manufactures (like Samsung) choose 1.5 metres (5 feet) or more.
They usually state how deep in the blurb.
IP68 (the 8 is the important part with water) is periods of submersion under pressure.
Interesting you say submersion under pressure. In an earlier life I was an avid scuba diver so... For every 33 1/3' ft. you descend in water, at sea level, the pressure increases by 14.7 lbs./in^2.

Now you can sleep tonight. 🤠

Yer I’m geeky enough to know.
Although I think metric wins this one -
Every 10m pressure increases 1 atm 😂

My water heater is leaking and can't be fixed. Now I need to figure out how to get a new one quickly.
We have a small washing up bowl under the overflow pressure valve exit on ours. There is grit in the pipes and periodically the intake leaks into the boiler tank which builds up pressure and leaks all over the laundry floor. It's going trig a bad patch at the moment, but you can't get a bucket under it.

Those T&P, temperature and pressure, overflow valves should be excercised once a year by opening and closing several times. Ideally as well the tank should be flushed to get all the accumulated crud out of the bottom. They're still making water heaters with the same parts they were using 30 years ago and they'll last a long time if maintained.

Everything is so damn expensive still. I thought prices were supposed to go down? If anything, it seems like the opposite has happened. I haven't had steak in so long because it's just too damn expensive. Like, ridiculous. $10 a pound for ground beef. (80/20). $40 for a 1-pound filet mignon.
It's been so long since I've had steak. 🙁

Saw this today...
