Plans for today (2025)

Would it be out of line to ask what you did (or didn’t) do? 🤔
He was scolding me for something or another and asked me why I did it, I said that I wouldn't answer that question - none of his concern, turned on my heel and walked away - humph -

Well…it’ll blow over, he’s got a good life there and he knows not to rock the boat too much!

I’m off today to pick up my crapple watch from the Mall, check out some sofas (any sofa buying tips welcome) and meet a good friend who’s having a hard time for a bit of lunch.
I might at some point acknowledge the work I didn’t do yesterday still needs doing but at the moment I feel that’s a problem for future SSOAP, present SSOAP is busy not giving a fig 😂

SandwichShortOfAPicnic, I'm replying to an old post. But I am trying to buy sofas too. I thought you might possibly be interested in this company. They are an independent UK business and seem to have good customer service. They have a showroom in south Wales. Their prices are reasonable and there is quite a lot of style choice. In the small print somewhere I noticed that they can arrange to upholster in your own fabric. Since I know you love your fabrics I thought that might appeal.

On Friday I gave our cat's litter tray it's weekly spray and clean, last night another cat came in, used her tray and left a couple of incidents on the floor, have cleaned it up but will now gave to redo her tray and mop the floor. The access route will now be blocked at night, Merl doesn't go out so it won't be an issue for her.

No strays coming in here. Ozzie is acceleration dog if he sees *anything* wandering in. He gets between Pippi and everything.

He's always watching out for her.

Looks good and apparently under an hour from my place.
Thanks!

I've ordered swatches. Its so tricky buying something like a sofa over the internet but I have no option. Mind you, the last ones I bought from John Lewis (cream leather) I ordered on line and they proved to be very good. I chose a simple contemporary style and they lasted 25 years, still looking vaguely on trend... well the seats got a bit worn (kids) but I just covered them up. Much lamented. Here they are or rather 'were':

Yep it's tricky as.
It's the seat length and the angle of the back that seem to be the comfort deal breakers.

But I suppose a lot of it's fixed by having the just the right type and size of cushion anyway so probably not as important as it first seems.

It's just such an expensive purchase you have to live with it makes you very wary.

I always think that about ovens. Surely given how much they affect your daily living they should be available for a test run, same as a car!

I'd be happy to whip up a sponge and make some roast potatoes in a test kitchen.
