• I’ve added a casual chat room to CookingBites as a place for off-topic banter, light conversation, and short-lived chit-chat that doesn’t belong in forum threads. The chat room is informal and lightly-to-not moderated, with messages being temporary, so it’s ideal for friendly back-and-forth that would otherwise derail discussions. Site rules still apply, but there’s no reporting system or expectation of post-by-post moderation - if something becomes uncomfortable, the right response is to step away. If a topic has substance or lasting value, it still belongs in the forums; everything else can head to chat.

Same physics apply no matter the road surface. How long it takes to make and how deep they get depends on average vehicle weight and the malleability of the roadway.
 
I’m now checked in but no seat assigned yet, see agent is the message. I’m surprised I fumbled a bit this morning, but they did have a buy out, and it took me a while to find the right airlines to checkin. At first it couldn’t find my reservation, but now I’m safe.

It looks like I’m an over achiever today. I managed to login to the website, verified that my husband’s annuity doesn’t quite cover the dental insurance, it looks like they are going to send me something in the mail so I can pay the difference. More headache to come, sigh. But at least all the logins checkout, the hoops I have to go at this age is bad enough. I wonder how do I survive when I’m in my 90s.

I also was able to pay my renewal for I-EEE, I do use some of the products they offer, so that’s why I have to pay the renewal fee every year.

This afternoon we have someone coming round to discuss a new front door, also want our porch enclosing so see what he comes up with. He should have turned up last Friday between 2.30 and 3.00, for some reason he was told 12.30, obviously no one was in so we are trying again today.
 
Plan for today is moving room. I’ve requested to have a new room, mine is near an elevator, they said yesterday they will send someone to move my suitcases, if I’m not packed by then, the move is cancelled. So that is the big thing today.

Then after the move we will see if we can try the lunch buffet. And that’s it for this restaurant.

Lunch buffet is done but not the room changed. Apparently there was miscommunication yesterday, the room will be changed after 11:00A.M. and not before. So after the room change we will go to the beach.
I look forward to swimming in the warm ocean. A few hours of swimming and sunbathing now that the sun is finally out.
