Raw asparagus?

Never eaten asparagus raw until today. I peeled the asparagus and somehow forgot to cook it. I slathered it with a lemon aioli and dug in. Crumchy and very good. Ever try it?

Not thrilled by raw. Prefer crisp tender. Even better, grilled, wrapped in prosciutto, then drizzled with lemon butter.

Have eaten raw - has a good fresh crunch in a salad, but if whole, prefer cooked even if just briefly sizzled - brings out the flavour.

Until not too any years ago I wouldn't get within 100 feet of asparagus in any form. Then, as if the asparagus good fairy tapped me on the shoulder, I really like the stuff and have recently been intrigued with trying it raw. Soon maybe. Only if it goes on sale. Recent prices here for asparagus have been almost obscene.

I've snacked on the tops of green asparagus. Quite nice
Pickled asparagus is also very good

We often snack on the snapped off ends and noble until it's too tough to eat.

Plus we serve them raw on salad as well.
