Sandwiches

I think a good sandwich is whatever you like.
It might be good ole white sandwich bread; it might be freshly baked sourdough; it might be brown bread; it might be a baguette, sliced in half; it might be a crusty roll.
The important thing is what ever is stuffed inside it, and the bread itself. As long as it tastes delicious, to you, then sod the rest of the world population; this is my favourite, and that's that. Cultural preferences are also very important.
The original sandwich was just a couple of slices of bread with some steak inside, Go figure. Anything to keep gambling Gimme a sarnie and I'll raise you 200 bucks

The Earl of sandwich is such an awesome title. Boring and typical for the times, but today? "Hello, I'm the duke of Sandwich." That's awesome. I wanna hang out with him and tell him I'm the Duke of Earl and see what happens.

DH & I have to go to The Big City next week and so since this thread, I started to look around there for a sandwich shop ... and what did I find?
One Mile away is a Bahn Mi Shop!!!!!
I haven't had a Bahn Mi in over a decade!
They also serve "European-style" sandwiches, so they've got both of us covered... I'm so excited now to go, even though that drive scares the living 💩 out of me and DH isn't ready for that quite yet. So I'll put on my Big Girl Panties, yet again, and do this, with a reward at the end

#17 Ham, Pork Roll, Pate, and then all of the usual fillings.
I felt like they cheap out on the meats, but it was so very tasty!
This was on a traditional French Baguette, where the sandwiches I adore in Hawaii was on the for real Bahn Mi roll, nice and soft, ya know?
MEH :meh: It was okay for what it was, I really can't complain.

DH got a "European-style" sandwich on a croissant, that was huge!
Ham & Swiss with "salad" and a bag of Chips.
Not bad!
This was my treat for driving back and forth from Cowboyville to The Big City (hour half one way) to DH's Doctor appointment.

Oh man, that bread looks so good, almost like Leidenheimer. I love it when people treat bread as an ingredient instead of a vehicle.
