Of course a fair amount came out in the frying but not too much. It was the perfect amount of crispy fat

Mine would've been more like smoked turkey and mayo...Craig pulled all the meat off the turkey this morning and I packaged, with both of us ending up having a smoked turkey sandwich for breakfast.
Ah, at least you know.Bought a new brand of Feta cheese the other day, just to give it a try.

Wow. How much brine did you put in in?The piece of pork belly I bought with the intention of making bacon never happened and late in the evening on Monday I was looking at an expensive piece of meat in that annoying state of ‘cook me now or I’ll end up in the bin’
As I was away the next day I threw it in the slow cooker in a brine (sugar, soy sauce, a splash of water) with a fair amount of flavourings and left it to cook overnight.
Then chilled it, and today sliced it a shallow fried it.
