I’ve had that happen. I’ll track down a recipe for a challenge, then I’ll go to post the recipe, and find it already exists from a previous challenge.I was thinking amaretto chocolate cheesecake, but then I remembered I already submitted it for the cream cheese challenge.
I’m wondering if this will be a problem as the amount of time I’ve been on the forum grows - I will have already submitted all my good recipes to the challenge and have to come up with new ones!
85 or 90% dark for me. Purist.Definitely dark chocolate here. I'm currently rationing my bar of Lindt "orange intense" dark chocolate.

Ha so. Where from? Bourbon country?Very much so.

US South, classic dish.Ha so. Where from? Bourbon country?
Yes…it’s in the name of the dish.Any chocolate in it?
Clarification please: can recipes contain both solid chocolate and cocoa powder? Asking, as many recipes, including cakes desserts etc. do. ThxOnly the forms listed please.
Nibs can be very, very carefully ground into tiny chunks for spice/rub mixes. Craig has a recipe for a Mayan spice mix that uses nibs. Bars of very high percentage chocolate can also probably be ground into tiny chunks. From past experience I'd freeze first since either melts quickly.
medtran49 has the final say, but my interpretation of the rules is that as long as it contains any of the solid chocolates listed in the opening challenge post, it’s valid - using a powdered chocolate alongside wouldn’t eliminate it, it’s just using powdered chocolate alone that’s not allowed.Clarification please: can recipes contain both solid chocolate and cocoa powder? What happened?Well…my last one, poached pear quarters in a chocolate sauce didn’t turn out very well at all, so now I’ll be cheering everyone else on going forward.
The pears poached a little too long for my liking, and I could never get the chocolate sauce to properly thicken. It looked terrible on the plate. What happened?
