The CookingBites recipe challenge: chocolate

I'm bailing....
I didn't like my chicken adobo with chocolate well enough to write out the recipe. It should have worked, but it didn't.
It wasn't bad, but it definitely didn't add to it.
I should have gone for boeuf bourgignon instead...

That's too bad. Did you use chile paste as well or only fresh chili? I actually thought an adobo or an adovado rub paste might work well with chocolate, thinking along the lines of a stronger meat like a pork or beef as a roast, and wondered about the how combination of vinegar, chile paste, garlic and chocolate might play.

It was a Philipino adobo recipe (Adobong Manok Recipe | Whats4eats)
Mainly soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, onions, garlic and bay leaves.
I added fresh chili, but that's because I add it too many (most) recipes.
I also thought it would work. Maybe I just used a bit too much.
It seemed tasty, but the left over not so much and considering the amount of red wine I drank while making it, I figured I must have been very hungry and maybe slightly inebriated while I ate it.

Ah, ok. Not very familiar with Filipino adobo dishes, mainly Mex/NewMex and LatAm that use chile paste
