Same here. I perused some ingredients and after I got home, 30 miles later, had my recipe idea. Going to be a minute before I get out there again.I'm looking at a couple of things to make, but not today.

My grandmom would “clean” her bacon grease with water (pour it in a jar, shake it up, set it down upside down overnight, and the fat and water separate, with all the crunchy bits in the water). That looks just like the grease that I render off my bacon, minus the crunchy little bit of character.
How about a TastyMom favorite - a piece of cheap white supermarket bread, and a couple of tablespoons of cold bacon grease smeared on like butter?By the way, for those who haven’t had me as a judge, I highly value featuring the ingredient instead of just putting a small bit in an already great recipe.
You forgot the spoonful of sugar!...

Mom’s diabetic, you know, she’s got to watch that sugar…and there it goes in her coffee…!You forgot the spoonful of sugar!![]()
I've used cacao butter before. Big time stir thing...Mom’s diabetic, you know, she’s got to watch that sugar…and there it goes in her coffee…!
Speaking of coffee, Mom (and her mom) would also put a little bit of bacon grease in their coffee - and now, all the trendies swear by butter or coconut oil going into your coffee to boost the health benefits.![]()
Mom would make a simple hot bacon grease dressing, just vinegar, sugar, and bacon grease and pour it over some fresh salad greens.Okay, I'll start off with an old, but never posted recipe of mine.
I almost said “don’t submit butter on a spoon as a recipe”, but I hadn’t considered bacon grease on bread. How about a TastyMom favorite - a piece of cheap white supermarket bread, and a couple of tablespoons of cold bacon grease smeared on like butter?
Well I've got 6 right. If I put butter over bacon grease on a huge spoon with fantastic ingredients that make it complete...it would be a huge spoon.I almost said “don’t submit butter on a spoon as a recipe”, but I hadn’t considered bacon grease on bread.![]()

I tried making something vaguely vingraittey
Green beans, red wine vinegar, cold & single pressed peanut oil and some fish sauce.

It's tasty
It's very basic, so not sure if it needs a recipe
It worked pretty wellThis sounds like a fun combination of flavors (Italian + Asian). How did they play together?
