Lamb shanks are about £8 a pound here = $10.95. 2 lamb shanks will cost about £14) $19.
Just "Garlic lover's lamb shanks" sounds good to me.I am getting ready to write up my recipe shortly for Garlic lover's Marsala wine braised lamb shanks. But I am struggling with a title for my recipe. It's got an entire bulb of garlic in it and 10 ounces of mushrooms. Should I call it "Garlic lover's lamb shanks (with mushrooms) braised with Marsala wine" or "Garlic lover's lamb shanks in Marsala wine sauce with mushrooms" Or how about "Garlic lover's lamb shanks and mushrooms Marsala"![]()

Yeah, but if someone doesn't love garlic and doesn't like mushrooms, they are going to be disappointed. I guess it would be easy enough for someone to cut the amount of garlic down, but since mushrooms are like sponges, they are going to have to alter the amount of braising liquids used. I suppose it's not so much seductive titles as titles that tell the reader what's in it before they take the time and trouble to open the recipe. If it were me I would probably just call it Marsala braised lamb shanks. But then, I like simplicity. I'm personally not keen on titles that use seductive titles. But that is just me.
But if someone can't have alcohol (I know most of the alcohol reduces in this recipe but there are people who can't even have a small amount of wine) then I am wasting their time.Just "Garlic lover's lamb shanks" sounds good to me.

Maybe: "Garlic and mushroom lover's lamb shanks marsala"?
Yes, I remember when an old forum member (I think he was flying lentris or something) had a recipe entry title that was like 12 words long, LOL. I think 7 words will be okay.Yeah, the problem is that we end up with stupidly long titles! Ottolenghi fell into that trap.
What about the wine? I love marsala wine sauce so much. I do love garlic and mushrooms, but if I saw just garlic and mushrooms when scanning through lists of recipes I probably wouldn't open it.How about - "Garlic and mushroom lamb shanks"
