When I turned 18 that was the age in GA. Two months later it was raised to 21.

So you could legally go have a drink for 2 months and then not anymore?

It had just gone up to 21 in NY state when I moved there for my first US Air Force assignment, but we were exempted in and kept the 18 drinking age…as long as we drank on base. Off base, it was 21.
