The General Chat Thread (2025)

I need to post it here so I will remember, plan for tonight is to print out and fill out my doctor’s form tomorrow, I have an appointment tomorrow. Do not come empty handed.
 
I wonder if the heat make the neck red, where is the term coming from?
Probably from wearing a T-shirt and no sunscreen on the neck? Makes a profound contrast from the white area that the t-shirt covered and the burn. Who knows. Might be the heat, too I guess. Lord knows rednecks exist in other places than the southern US. We've got them here in Ohio as well.
 
Inland. One of my besties and his wife live in San Diego and are sun worshippers. Granted they put on sunscreen. But I do think inland it gets much hotter and the UV rays are stronger.
When I was in my 20s, I used to go the beach everyday, but I always made sure I had on sunscreen, my skin is still pretty good. The only problem is I have is cataracts, problem with my eyes because I didn’t wear UV sunglasses back then. But right now, I don’t wear glasses to use my phone nor my iPad. I don’t enlarge the texts either.

I grew up in Florida so I can relate. I did have a minor spot of basal cell carcinoma removed about 15 years ago.
