I went to the Georgia medicare website and it was pretty simply laid out. They have a thing called Georgia Pathways on the medicaid website where you have to make less than $15k a year to qualify (pretty sure that social security does not qualify as income in this circumstance) for healthcare and the copay is either $0 or as much as $5 depending on what service you require. You can apply online, too. I think you have to do some qualifying activities along with it, but seems to me it would be well worth the cost of your health.

In my state it's simpler because the individual can't make more than $18k and they don't have to do any qualifying activities. Georgia is a little stricter, but again, worth it for health's sake.
