Are you getting Medicare yet? My husband and I are both on Medicare and so far they take care of most bills.
He and I are both 63 so no Medicare yet.
No insurance = no dentist. I wasn't working for a place that offered insurance.
I don't have dental either, I pay out of pocket. Can you qualify for medicaid?

Plans for today is to take care of the umbrella insurance, I was too busy with my sister and forgot the deadline. This morning I called and they did send me a bill to my email. I better take care of it before it expires again.

Today is to go play games and then multiple stops to shop for food.

Also call my hair place to book for an appointment, they get busy around this season. Not sure if I can get in one before the holidays, but if not, at least before my trip to Hawaii.

No, too young and no issues.

No, not blind, a teenager, or disabled.

Have to be careful and hope for the best. No oopses allowed...

You do not have to be blind, a teenager, or disabled. It's income based. In fact, you get some dental with medicaid. I know at least 4 people who are on medicaid because of their income and they are not blind or disabled teenagers.
Those are all I could remember without digging through a plethora of legal cra#.

I went to the Georgia medicare website and it was pretty simply laid out. They have a thing called Georgia Pathways on the medicaid website where you have to make less than $15k a year to qualify (pretty sure that social security does not qualify as income in this circumstance) for healthcare and the copay is either $0 or as much as $5 depending on what service you require. You can apply online, too. I think you have to do some qualifying activities along with it, but seems to me it would be well worth the cost of your health.
About Georgia Pathways to Coverage™
In my state it's simpler because the individual can't make more than $18k and they don't have to do any qualifying activities. Georgia is a little stricter, but again, worth it for health's sake.

Thank you yes I was just there. The qualifying activities are 80 hours/month either on a job or you're volunteering to assist some state run endeavor.

Or elderly care, or education, like taking classes at a community college or something like that. And it can be a combination of activities. But with your mom being elderly and you living in close proximity, don't you do stuff for her or is she completely independent? I would think that caretaking could involve keeping up the property or running errands for her, I am not sure but it's worth looking into.

You certainly could qualify for financial aid if you felt like taking some sort of online courses. It might actually be fun!
