I had to replace the sprinkler on the kitchen sink faucet a couple days ago. Which involved pulling all the stuff out from below the sink and getting in positions my body just isn't used to anymore.

So, Murphy's Law being what it is, today I get to do it all over because now the faucet itself is leaking and I have to replace everything 🙄

Feel you on that positions thing, especially the 3" or so rise above the floor... Plumbers fixed a leak in the line just inside the property line and got a -lot- of dirt in the line. It clogged up all the aereators which being Delta non serviceable ones I had to replace. Twenty dollars each but they did each come with that specialty wrench. Still sucked! 😡

We did that a few weeks ago. PITA, especially when the directions aren't clear and you have to partially take it apart and redo. Not a leak, just an extra hose for the power sprayer function.

It's not necessarily the getting down, it's the gettin' back up!

I did have to buy the specialty wrench for my project. I guess it's called a "basin wrench" according to the packaging on the new one. I have no idea what I did with mine. Last time I used it was when I put the faucet in 25 years ago. $19, but I had a $10 coupon from the hardware store, so that wasn't too bad.

And no leaks! Yay!
Not as much pressure either... I'll have to see if there's a plastic piece I can remove at the nozzle... later ;)

Maybe I'll go pick up a steak and reward myself :)

Count me in there. I gave up any form of home repair about 25 years ago. I've now found a lad who not only does my garden, but also does electricity, plumbing, painting, plastering, carpentry and anything else I need. I feed him breakfast and lunch and pay him $30 a day.
 
I wish I could find someone who would be consistent (another word for show up as promised) and help me with my "honey-do" list.
Around here, they work when they need money, but not otherwise, or if someone with a deeper pocket comes along.

I've got a bunch of things that I'd like to get down around our house, but DH is not able to help with them or honestly, I'd rather he didn't!

These are mostly small things, repaint our garden gate, rack up leaves and haul them away, help me to re-do my garden décor (I want to take care of a faux garden lattice work I have on the back wall that covers it), re-set a few pavers in the pathway around the house, what else?

I'd do alot of it myself, but I'm, A) vertically challenged (aka short and don't like ladders) and B) the mosquitos just eat me alive! If I can hold out until it gets colder and they fly away for the Winter, I could get some of these things done on my own.
I'm still physically able to do "things" on my own.
 
Retiring from a commercial maintenance/service/mobile engineer field I can do just about any of it. At this point though I avoid squirreling around on the floor or standing on any ladder that's more than 3' tall and requiring a tool that Harbor Freight doesn't have! 😃

(I really stink at matching paint so that's out...)
 
We're going to re-construct parts of our house this year and the coming year, starting with the windows this month. We finally know when they will do it, which will October 13 to 16. So while we're at home during the day, we're sleeping and eating at a hotel https://www.hoteldenhaag.nl/kamers-suites/luxe-kamer-kingsize-balkon/ . Absolutely not looking forward to having a whole construction crew in my house, but grateful for the opportunity my husband pampered me with to stay in a hotel during the worst of it (he allowes me to stay in the hotel most of the time 🥰) . I feel very blessed!

Next year the walls will have a make-over, and after that the kitchen. Now that part I AM looking forward to, as he will let me design it!
