The pasta shape you use most often

Mine is Spaghetti, closely followed by penne rigate.

I find spaghetti the most satisfying to eat, especially with tomato-based sauces such as all Amatriciana, or Bolognese (yes I know...). My kids love Carbonara (I'm not such a massive fan of it tbh) and recently I've been trying different permutations of aglio e olio.

Penne is quite popular here as well. Nice bit of al dente penne in whatever sauce with loads of melty-Parmesan on is a heavenly thing.

Lasagne is probably #3.

If you’re asking about those that are considered Italian shapes, probably penne first and linguine second.

What we use the most in our house though are sold as “egg noodles” and in various sizes/width. Egg noodles are what we use in soups and serve as buttered noodles, and what we’d typically use in noodle casseroles. We would not consider these in the same family as rigatoni or spaghetti or other Italian pasta shapes.

Always have a good supply of dried pasta in the house and have a pasta roller for DIY.
Most used:
Short pasta - penne, rigatoni, etc
followed by long pasta - spaghetti, linguine, angel hair etc
followed by flat pasta - lasagna etc
followed by round pasta

Unless I go out of my way to find specialty shapes when shopping and stocking up, bought pasta is relatively standard

Like to stock up on different shapes like Casarecce and buccatini

When we go out to this one Italian restaurant, I order a side of Angel Hair pasta, it usually comes very plain, olive oil usually is all, and I LOVE it! But I can't seem to cook it correctly, it comes out too mushy.

At home, DH is a huge Rigs and Thick Spaghetti kinda guy. He likes to "taste" the pasta rather than the condiment.

I recently bought some small bow ties, adorable!
My other favorite pasta shape would be Orecchiette with a Pesto sauce.

Neither DH nor I are big on tomato based sauces any longer, they don't agree with out tummies.

Stuffed pasta: Cheese Ravs please! Or Jumbo Shells filled with Chicken Alfredo, YUM!

I have made fresh pasta at home, but recently. I must say though, that beats the pants off of the dried, boxed stuff, even from Italy.
