Travel Plans 2025

Leaving Friday, heading to Puerto Rico to get on another ship, can't wait! Been to most of these places a few times, so it will be nice to not feel pressured/feel like we've gotta go see it all, and we can actually just relax and so f*** all. Never sailed with Virgin Voyages, so excited to see what they're like.

DH was just on the phone with his older Sister who still lives back in Hawaii.
They have plans to fly to California to visit with their two daughters and their families over Thanksgiving.
From there, they'd like to go to Las Vegas, to gamble of course, and they have TWO complimentary rooms at their hotel of choice.
I told her months ago, that we'd be happy to drive them from Cali to Vegas and spend time with them there, then they could fly back from Vegas to Hawaii and we could drive back to Cowboyville, AZ.
DONE AND DONE!
Now she's very excited, because the girls DO NOT like Las Vegas and really didn't want to drive them there and back again, so ....
SIL said she'll tighten up the plans by the end of the week and call us back...

WELL!
Not happening after all.
The phone rang kinda late last night, made me jump.
It was DH's older sister calling and not from California!
Both she and her husband are sick and had to cancel the entire trip.
I feel bad for them, because I know how much they wanted to do this, but ya know, life happens.
There'll be other times, and then she starts to cry, awwww.
 
Going to Hawaii in January for a week. Every year we look forward to leaving our nest in January, sunshine, warm beaches, no cooking and washing up for a whole week. All on points and somewhat inexpensive fares during shutdown.

Still haven't heard if the condo that we rent every time will be available or not ...

The recent government shutdown, my daughter told me to purchase air tickets because she got an alert that fares were the lowest.

I read the Venezuelan state run airline is still going 🤷‍♀️

Strange how the ‘War on Terror’ seems to always involve apparently legitimate governments causing large amounts of death and terror 😔
Anyway I recognise this is straying into the area of politics so I’ll leave it there.
 
I’m also planning 2.5 weeks in Spain, and 2.5 weeks in London, the flights have been booked and so is the accommodation in Spain, Seville, Rhonda, and Gilbratar. However, I’m holding on a little to book my hotel in London or near it for next year. Here’s hoping for the exchange rate to go down a but more.

Lovely. Apart from the exchange rate, I’m happy with it that way around 😂

Sounds like a lot to fit in Spain in just two and half weeks, busy bee!
