Turmeric and Tarragon Cream Sauce
This sauce is excellent on vegetables, eggs benedict, and many other dishes. Use in place of wherever you might use a Hollandaise or Bearnaise sauce.
Prep and cooking time: 15-20 minutes
Serves 2-4 people
Ingredients:
1 tbsp butter
2 tbsp minced onion or shallot
1 minced clove of roasted garlic
1 tbsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp turmeric
1/2 tsp tarragon
1 pinch of cayenne pepper
3/4 cup heavy cream
salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
Place butter, green onion, and garlic in a small saucepan and simmer on low for 2-3 minutes.
Add other ingredients and stir until desired consistency is reached.
Cover the pan with a lid until ready for use (if preparing other ingredients for immediate usage) or store in airtight container in the refrigerator.
