I've been meaning to try this for ages. Both tofu and banana blossom are used to make a vegan alternative to fish and chips. I had a can of banana blossom in the cupboard so I did a little experiment:
I took just of piece of the blossom and dried it on kitchen roll.
Ingredients:

- Dredged in flour.
- Dipped in a batter of (GF) flour, crushed seaweed (A sheet of the seaweed sold for sushi-making), fizzy water.
- Fried in hot veg oil until the batter started to brown (Gluten free flour does not turn nice and golden)
Ingredients:
- Banana blossom (one piece)
- Flour (half a cop)
- Fizzy water (enough to make a thick-ish batter)
- Seaweed/Nori (One sheet)
- Oil (enough so the 'fish' is submerged)
- Salt
- Potatoes (if making chips)
