A simple and fresh dessert that plays with the idea of serving watermelon and melon with a chocolatey twist.
Serves: 4-6 | Preparation time: 20-25 minutes
- Dark Chocolate 70%: 150 g
- Watermelon, 1 or Watermelon wedges, 400 g
- Cantaloupe Melon, 1
Method
Starting by carving both watermelon and melon with a fruit digger, trying to get the same bite-size from both fruits. If you don’t have a fruit digger, simply cut the fruit with a knife into pieces.
Dry them very well with kitchen paper.
Cut chocolate into little chunks or chop it up, melt it in a saucepan and mix it with the cream.
Dip each fruits bites completely or just half in the hot chocolate, then lay them down on a tray or plain plate lined with baking paper. Let them cool down for few mins, then put in the fridge for at least 2 hrs or until the chocolate has solidified.Tip: The faster way to melt chocolate is in the microwave, although the best one is using a bain marie method. Alternatively, you can melt the chocolate in a saucepan with very little milk.
Serve cold.
