Weight and/or exercise 2025

No actual diary, but due being left to work out dietary issues myself since diagnosis I kept records to track what works / is ok, and what is not. And to help spot patterns (eg realising my RHR was in continuous decline). So I have records of food quantities, avg fat, carb, sugar, protein and various other info from my garmin watch.

I'm not actually bothered if I lose a few lb more, my primary concern was my RHR and the potential effect on blood profusion to organs.
I seem to have succeeded now in stabilising my weight, so that's good. I want it stable for at least another month.
My average RHR bottomed out in jan (38.8 bpm), fractionally improved in feb (39 bpm), and increased to 39.6 in mar, so I'm a happy bunny 🐇. Of course I'll need to keep an eye on it to ensure it's a real improvement, not just a natural variation.

I've spoken to the dietician twice since our face to face, her main concern was a successful halt to the weight loss. I've also tasked her with finding me some info specific to my health :)

What was your diagnosis? I’m sorry I missed that. Dieticians feel like the absolute worst IF you have an eating disorder

Okay, full disclosure and a long story: I have been bulimic/ anorexic for most of my life, symptoms of which have been lessoned by a low FODMAP diet. Recently i suffered cardiac arrest. So: I’m in hospital on a heart monitor 24/7. They can’t feed me food I will eat ( so I’m on 300 calories a day, if that) my heart rate was in the 30s and sent the damn buzzer off, so yes you need more food. If ever you feel weak and tired for more than 12 hours eat something comforting. Mine is white bread the crust, toasted.if all else failed a plant based Forisip

Hopefully your health will pick up and you will be home soon.
No eating disorder here, my issues stem from a mix of health issues and trying to juggle too much last year all of which helped distract me rather a lot - take a look at page 1 of this thread - https://www.cookingbites.com/threads/weight-and-or-exercise-2025.30044/post-427931

Do I understand you right that you are currently in hospital? If so, I can empathise. I also suffered severe cardiac issues several times when in hospital recently and needed 3 separate bouts of cardioversion. I also had a severe intestinal infection with sepsis. I found eating almost impossible plus I had a feed tube. I lost a lot of weight and suffered severe muscle wastage. It's taken me over a month to walk again. I am eating much better now but it took a long time to regain any appetitite. With anorexia/bulimia then that journey is bound to be much more difficult for you.

Had a wander around the botanic gardens in Canberra. Not quick, because I had my big Canberra with us and was bird watching.

You are actually looking out over Canberra here. It's known as the bush capital for a reason. But there's less greenery than when we first moved here, but it's still hard to spot the capital city hidden by all the trees.

Tried having an active day again...

First time I've been outside on the bike since getting out of the wheelchair. It was hard. The snow time was because Easter Sunday, Canberra city centre and the lake were packed and we spent more time trying to cycle at walking pace without falling off, than actually getting anywhere, but after 8km (5 miles) I was toast.

But it was nice to get out.

Since you related your jewelry-related tale in the other topic, I can’t help but caption that pic of your husband with, “Is my ring in here?” 😉
