What’s going on in your garden (2026)?

I thought the holes were where the weeds came through! That's where they do on my stuff.
They do! This one is particularly bothersome trying to crowd in on my Aleppo pepper plant.

So far from the veg plot.

The last tomatoes. I've pulled up all the plants now.

This is lighter because it's fresh saffron. It still needs to be dried to get the deep red colour, and there's yellow because i don't have to pay for it so don't see the point in trimming it...

And the last (?) of the lions mane mushrooms.

That's awesome with the saffron! 👏

So you know how I said a few weeks ago that I planted peppers and tomatoes?

I somehow managed to mess things up (must have not been paying attention), and it turns out I planted all tomatoes. I know what variety some of the plants are, but some of them are going to be a mystery.

So, I’m going to have extra tomato plants to give away, and I’ll have to buy pepper plants. Ah well!

I also started pumpkins and zucchini last week, but only one has sprouted so far, which has me a bit worried the others won’t come up.

When I plant squash they're usually poking through in about 5 days. This might help you moving forward if you've a thermometer. Measure about 3" down. This came from the University of Michigan. I've lost the original link.
