What’s the next kitchen item you plan to buy (2025)?

It really is at the moment 🤣
A lot of people don't understand you gave bury grief by spending money on stuff.
They mistakenly think it's a psychological thing that needs tackling rather than burying under a mountain of parcels. Poor sad deluded fools 😆
I do feel for you and Mr. SSOAP. 🫂

What's this pokey thing TastyReuben ?

I keep eyeballing a Simmer Ring to throw on my gas stove, but just haven't pulled the trigger yet. When dealing with low quantity butter, sauces, etc., it would certainly be helpful to reduce the heat, as even "simmer' is too hot.

I've never made any gf bread.
If it is a bit dried out or semi dry on top it may work.
You can just use a knife though

A knife wouldn’t work on gluten free bread. If it was a bit dry on top it would just cut through and immediately get wet batter stuck to it.
But it’s no biggie. I would like to have a go at a tiger bread top though. That works on GF bread and it’s the only GF crust that tastes any good.

Its so odd that you said that as I was thinking about whether a tiger crust would work on gluten free only yesterday. Here is some tiger bread I made a while back:
