What’s the next kitchen item you plan to buy (2025)?

Heat diffusers are pretty commonplace here but they look quite different. They’re usually a flat thing with off set holes in.

msmofet Looks like a useful tool. I use my KA and a big glass bowl. It's a zen thing...
I used to it for bread dough, but now I only use it for cookie dough. I don't have to proof my yeast either.
I use my hands and a big bowl...
Definitely Zen :)
I used to make 5 lbs. AP flour plus another 2 lbs of assorted flours (wheat, soy, rye, wheat germ, ground oats, several others). BUT arthritis stopped that years ago. I loved the feel of the dough and the stress relief.

That's a lot of flour in one go!
I normally use something like 700 gr ;)
Sourdough.
Hardly any kneading, just some stretch & folds
I'm usually doing around 450 gr but I don't eat a lot of bread, usually. In the winter I'll make more since I don't mind turning the oven on. Lately with the Groomer Girls I'm baking theirs and I'm eating the Wally World white stuff for $1.47/loaf... 😲

I vary...
Sometimes around 500 gr, sometimes 700 gr flour
I divide and put in small tupperware and in the fridge.
Some is used for pizza, some for small bread in any form.
Sometimes on the stove, sometimes in my uuni (not only for pizza), and sometimes in the gas oven or on the braai
