What’s the next kitchen item you plan to buy (2025)?

Not sure about this because I’m not a huge fan of plastic but I saw it in JL yesterday and it’s very solid, much thicker than it looks in the pic.
It could be a good space saver 🤷‍♀️

Two mixing bowls (one large one small), a sieve, a colander and measuring cups.

Finally decided on the china for the Isle of Man. My great grandmother had it, I grew up with it and Mr SSOAP had breakfast and tea time at the weekends with his grandparents on it. When I suggested it to Mr SSOAP before I even got to the end of the sentence he said “buy it, definitely, I love it”
He’s never definitive about this sort of thing because ultimately he’s not really bothered but he was immediately happy when he saw this so it’s an easy decision.

This tea set from fleabay is the first part, I’ll buy the dinner plates etc in the January sale directly from Spode because it’ll be cheaper than second hand. Looking forward to collecting it, albeit in much smaller dribs and drabs!
The pattern is thought to have been designed for Spode pottery in around 1790 so hopefully there won’t be a problem collecting it or getting replacements.

My son who’s 24 saw me showing Mr SSOAP and said “That’s LOVELY” so it must be vintage enough for young folk to like it again 😂

Going old school for the new life 😊

Couldn’t help but think of TastyReuben when I was purchasing it, hope it meets with your approval?!

I love those blue and white dishes. I have a couple of plates that are in the back of my cabinet. I'm afraid I will break them.

Yes, very nice! I’ve been looking for a Blue Willow cake stand for a couple of years now…three tiers, new, from reputable seller, affordable - I can’t hit all those, unfortunately.
