What’s the next kitchen item you plan to buy (2025)?

I must have an aversion to recipes that require mixers because I can't think if any hand blender I've cooked in the last year or even several years that require them!
How interesting! I use mine a huge amount - I do bake a lot tho. Ditto hand blender - indispensable

Hand mixer same make/model as previous one, have 2 sets of beaters etc - use both when needed for 2 different ingredients in the same recipe instead of having to wash and reuse

I hardly ever use a mixer.
I do use my stick blender & spice grinder, but not much else that's electric
Stick blender used far more than conventional glass blenders that I barely use anymore apart from crushing ice and making chile paste in quantity

Need to buy new wooden spatulas and spoons - tossed out a bunch of plastic stuff some time back after reading about microplastic issues

I'm the exact opposite. I use my vitamix blender far more often than my stick blender. To be honest, i should get rid of my cusinart stick blender and it's 6 or 7 attachments. I might get it out 2 or 3 times a year at best. My vitamix comes out that many times a week.

Any good? Do you use a lot?
Can't remember the specific reason I bought it but it works well and came with a bunch of accessories. Not bad for $13 US.

My wife found this end grain teak cutting board at a thrift store today for 5 bucks. Yes, 5 bucks. (10" Chef's knife for scale.) It makes me not even want to think what I paid for my Teakhaus cutting board... like 25x more. (Granted, that one's a little bigger, but still!) Ten minutes with an orbital sander and some mineral oil, and I'll have it looking like new.

Score!!

The next thing I plan to buy (fingers crossed for the Amazon Black Friday event) is an electric Pressure Cooker as my Ninja Foodi packed up (out of warranty) so that has been thrown out and I miss pressure cooking as it is so quick and yet preserves all the flavours of what you're cooking.

Feel you! I use mine almost daily.
