I'm getting a compact in-sink disk rack to free up some countertop space when drying the dishes.

I went to Goodwill just because and found this 14" Joyce Chen brand carbon steel wok, with a lid, for $9.73 out the door!Very beautiful tho. What size was it?
I've been looking at those recently thinking I *need* a cast-iron wok.

Thank you and yes, I see a stir fry, properly done, coming up!Barrihie, good find!!!!!![]()

What brand is it? I've tried cooking rice in the microwave but it just doesn't seem to come out right. How d'you like this gizmo? It's a rice cooker cup I bought in Japan last year. Cost me like £2. You stick the rice in it (there's a line inside) and then put on the outer lid (the one upside-down on the counter). You gush tap water through the hole then swill it all around to wash it, then tip it out and repeat. Bang it on the counter to make the rice all go to the bottom and then add water (there's another line) then put in the inner lid and then the outer lid. Microwave it for 10 mins and your rice is ready. It's just nice for two people.

You're using more power...Nah! If I'm gonna go through all that, I might as well get out a small pot or the rice cooker.![]()
