No it really isn't. Its just his words which could lead to misunderstanding on this occasion. I make parathas and chapatis and naan quite often. I think he knows what he is talking about but the words he used are apt to mislead someone who has never made parathas. Here is an excellent demo on how to make plan parathas from an Indian website. Its very similar to the way I make them.

Difficult to compare. The website says "water as required"; the recipe I have says 1/2 pt (10 fl oz) milk+water to 7 oz whole wheat flour. There is also a note to say that the exact quantity of liquid could vary according to the type of flour and the prevailing weather. I would take that as meaning in a cooler climate you need less liquid.

Is it the same recipe as other breads, or is it specifically to be turned into crumbs? You know, like a little drier, or something.

Carbonara...I love pig cheek!

It feels like I've just spent most of the day preparing and cooking a chicken curry. And now, I don't feel like eating it!

(Although it did need stirring frequently!)

Oh, @morning glory - I can't remember in which thread the discussion was held on whether to brown the chicken or not, but I do prefer to brown mine, even just a little bit.
