Caesar salad tonight with smoked, reverse seared NY strips and homemade dressing... extra heavy on the anchovies and garlic, as I like it.
In. BBQ grill is currently on its side with all parts shading the seedling sprouts. It's brutally bright already for the squash. My fav chili plants, the Buena Mulatas, even wilt a bit.Cookout or cook in?
We went from beautiful weather to cold windy squally. No like wind.

)Here they're ripe, large (12 oz. or so), and hovering around $1.97/lb, and flavorless. I'll wait till I can harvest mine...My business partner was at the Caracas central market today.
"I've found tomatoes!! " (Currently, due to the dry season, very poor and very expensive)
" Are they red, ripe, you know, quality?"
"YES! Yes, I'm gonna buy 10 kgs"
He did. They were barely red, very small, and crappy. They were falling apart when I got them (lost 2.5 kgs) so I had to make a load of tomato chutney. Not a particularly happy camper, but at least we've got some tomato chutney now!

I love butter, sour cream, and chives on any potatoes other than fries.View attachment 143833
