Last night's dinner. It was the most tender octopus I've ever had. Also had Mexican rice and refried beans. The tapered cone shape is mexican street corn BTW. Only made it through the 1 tentacle so the big one is leftover. I'm thinking octopus nachos with a green sauce maybe.

Interesting. Did you buy smoked duck 'ready made'?

I'm rather shocked that you are eating Christmas pudding a day early! I note with approval that there are copious amounts of custard.
The duck came from The Cheshire Smokehouse and is our traditional Christmas Eve meal. We had the pudding today because we find it a bit much after the main Christmas day meal, but after a light salad we had room for gallons of custard (both pud and custard from Aldi, can't be beaten). Tomorrow we will finish with a little Eton Mess.
