Getting ready for tomorrow's picnic breakfast

There's ½kg of fresh raspberries from the veg plot, around 300g of strawberries 🍓 and some fresh nectarines. I threw together some pikelets (aka drop scones or scotch pancakes) and I'll warm them in the morning. I'll serve it with some fresh cream and maple syrup.

Pictures of the picnic breakfast will be in the January thread tomorrow.

New Year's Eve lunch/dinner. Roast pepper pork with chips, peas and green pepper and mushroom cream sauce (to which I'm becoming addicted). With a pleasant Cabernet Sauvignon as an accompaniment.

Unfortunately the peas were a substitute for what are in short supply here (Talley's) and they were crap. That definition is somewhat generous as they tasted of nothing at all (or nothing that I've ever tasted). Luckily, my wife didn't take them up on their "buy 2 get 1 free" offer so there's only one pack to bin.
