What did you cook or eat today? (December 2025)

We went to the grocery, then stopped for take out at a place we like.

Meat Stromboli, pepperoni, sausage, ham, mozzarella.

Meatball Hero, half of the sandwich.

But its the cheese that keeps it all together :)

Personally, I like Pizza Hut Pizza's soft crust, plenty of toppings and reasonably priced. Actually let me rephrase that - I like any pizza but prefer Pizza Hut ones :)

Pizza hut is on its way out of the UK and to be honest they deserve to be.
They delivered the worse service and worse pizza in the UK you could possible imagine.
Brits might be tight with their money when it comes to eating out but they’ll happily spend the extra at Pizza Express or Dominos to get something edible 😂

I know it’s not made the same in the US or other countries but they have flopped over here.
Along with hooters (we’re British for crying out loud), TGI’s or Australias ‘Outback Steakhouse’.
Different ways or being and eating not understood or respected by the incoming chains.
Heyho that’s corporate madness for you.

Outback Steakhouse
Actually, the Outback Steakhouse is an american mob - not Australian. Went to one once and didn't see anything on their menu that was remotely Australian, hell, not even Fosters beer. That place is about as Australian as penguins are native to the Sahara Desert :)

I lived in Wales for 12 months so yeah - you guys don't need some imported hooters to prove anything ;) :D

Different ways or being and eating not understood or respected by the incoming chains.
Your right though - most "chains" seem to think that just because their own country likes something - everyone else will or should as well.

Meaning - when I just had eaten too much of them - back then I would buy a couple of tray's of lamb chops, each containing 12 chops each, cook them up, have a couple hot and put the rest in the fridge to have cold later .... by the time I had finished them I needed something different, which was usually Fish and Chips with Potatoe Cakes and a few Steamed Dim Sims, Chinese, sausages and steak. Then the ritual would start all over again :D

Was never that I tired of them as a whole, just that I had too many at one time - how could ANYONE get tired of lamb chops for pete's sake that would be akin to getting tired of breathing :hyper: :)
But you could have taken the chops off the bones and done so much with them in other dishes. I save my bones and freeze them to make a base for bolognese sauce.
