What did you cook or eat today? (December 2025)

Linguine and green olive sauce. Topped with ground red pepper flakes, Parmesan Reggiano, and Pecorino Romano.

Smoked duck lettuce boats.
I read that and thought: "that gin bottle must be empty...". "This is a conundrum"...but then, sensibly, I scrolled down and saw that delicious stuff you made.
Sort of a take on Peking duck, but with lettuce? Yummy.
 
What I made:

From back to front:
2 - 2 ounces
1 - 1 ounce
loads of fresh ice (as Chef John says) in a shaker aka Mason Jar and shake the heck outta it for 1 minute
Poured into a lovely cocktail glass along side a small bowl of Nuts (not pictured) and that's our apéritif ...
