Prawn cutlets, half the packet, wife's out I'm seafood. Just cooked in garlic butter. Chilling for seafood cocktail later.

Prawn cutlets -- another new term to me. The cutlet part.

They look a little freezer burned. Try to buy them with the shells on. It's more work, but the shells protect the meat from freezer burn.

Last nights dinner. Chicken noodle soup (with a good schmaltz slick) and toast. The bread flour included 50% rye. I kneaded it for a lot longer because rye has less protein. It made beautiful tasting toast even though I forgot to add the caraway seeds . Pud was fruit.

No recipe challenge today. I'll be using up the last of that loaf of Wheat Bread that has been taking forever to do away with. Andouille Sausage sandwiches with Stone Ground Mustard, Horse Radish and Sauer Kraut will do the trick.

Then, at long last, I am free to do my first Dark Rye Bread. :p:
