What did you cook or eat today? (January 2026)

Pan seared steak, mushroom sauce over mashed potatoes, and a small garden salad. It doesn’t look good, I prefer a bit more seared/brown on the outside, but it’s very tender.

Saturday brekky bacon and scrambled eggs and hot choc wife.
Just a cuppa for me.
Cheese rolls for lunch and prepping for dinner. Porterhouse steak with new potatoes from garden and roast pumpkin.

At a more upscale restaurant tonight with family, we all split the Five Onion Soup as a starter. Mrs.GH had the Cioppino, my Step-Mom had a Lobster Roll, and my kid and I each had the Braised Short Ribs. All excellent.
