I've been snacking on cashew nuts today so didn't feel like cooking.
I had a piece of baquette with ham, carrot/daikin pickle and cucumber.
I was going to make a white bean dish, so I soaked beans. I just boiled them and will use them tomorrow or the next day

I just made a white bean dish Friday. No kale or cabbage in mine and added sausage.

It could be slender eggplant, onion, garlic bacon & white beans stew or
Daikon, carrot, pork, bay leaf, onion garlic soupy stew

Grilled chicken, very tender, bapchae, a Korean dish, and some kimchi. I made my bapchae not salty, so it goes very well with kim chi.

I haven't had good kimchi in over 30 years. The problem was that I was stationed in South Korea in 91. It didn't get more authentic than that!

My town has a lot of Korean, so I have easy access to good kimchi. My daughter who used to eat out a lot at Korea town, said it’s very close to the restaurant level.

Yeah it's big alright. 7 am I was watching tv when an alarm started squreching beep beep.but real loud. I hadn't heard it before so I was looking all around the fridge.
Somehow a cooking timer went off. My wife bought it and never told me

Mrs. Next Door Neighbor's Birthday today and she hosted linner (late lunch/early dinner) out a great place a few towns away.
On the table was:
New Zealand Green Lip Mussels in a butter, garlic and white wine sauce (sssshhhh, this was DH's Choice)
Tuscan Scallops : pan seared, creamy garlic alfredo, roasted tomatoes, fresh basil
Caesar Salad with Grilled Salmon Fillet
Crispy Chicken Asian Salad
Coconut Crusted Shrimp (a bit over done for my taste)
It was a lovely birthday linner!!
On the table was:

I cooked 8 jars of sweet chile jelly and 18 jars of mango chutney.
I ate fried kibbe, falafel, tabbouleh, and dolmades. All home made!
