That really surprises me. Both garlic powder and onion powder are probably in the "most common seasonings after salt and pepper" category here - I do believe I've even bought garlic powder at a gas station convenience store once.

It seems to be more of a tradition to use fresh garlic and onion. I only discovered the use of both through this forum and they are very handy store cupboard ingredients.

Those T-Bones look nice, with a pretty big tenderloin section. The others are bone-in ribeyes?

Steaks in most parts of the world seem to be cut thinner than they are in Texas. :scratchhead:

They are about an inch thick, the flint stone ones are about 1 1/2 inches thick. Butchers here tend to cut them thick to sell more meat. A tip from mymste butcher.
