What did you cook or eat today (July 2025)?

Indian Aloo tikki burgers. Those are made by mashing potatoes with spices and chickpea flour. Served with spicy mayo, crispy vegetables and pita.

We got sushi takeout. So much more economical to order it to go and eat at home. It was $166 with tip for the 4 of us. So good!

My grandsons 13th birthday coming up.. he wants sushi for main. Daughter is taking care of that.. im doing croquettes for entree and cheesecake for dessert.
Some adults are different main to the kids.

Sunday family dinner was lamb shoulder chop casserole with in pot. Mash spuds and roast pumpkin.
Pumpkin was the best I've had in years I've kept seeds to plant this spring.
Daughter took some pumpkin home as well.

Pasta Primavera, not a planned meal, used excess zucchini, mushrooms, asparagus, prosciutto and green onions from other meals. Rest was dry and refrigerator pantry ingredients.

I don't love pumpkin, but I do like the seeds (pepitas). When the kids were young and they would carve pumpkins for Halloween we used to dry and toast the seeds for snacks.

I don't think so. Pumpkin is a vegetable from the Amercian continent.Swede and parsnips are fed to cows in France, however.

This will last me 4 meals. I sauteed some onions, red bell pepper, and red (purple) cabbage that will round it out.

They grow lots of pumpkins in New Zealand per the Dept. Of Agriculture.
