Made parippu vada today. Delicious South Indian spicy fried toor dal (yellow lentil) cakes. I use them as a beer snack, for which they are pretty hard to beat, for my taste anyway.

Bacon Burger with Fries Stew.
I made this with bacon, ground beef, onion, pickles, mustard, and potatoes cut like french fries. I also used stewed tomatoes and celery leaves (the latter because I couldn’t see putting lettuce in a stew pot). I’m happy to report that it tastes really good.

Dear Sarana,
Your posts either make me laugh or touch my heart. So glad you are back. Missed you bunches.

This isn't just good, it's damm good. I don't know if I'd call it pizza per se, maybe pizza-ish, but it's really, really good.

So few ingredients, too. A pizza dough, a good helping of Romano cheese, some thinly-sliced red onion (could've used more of that), a good sprinkle of fresh rosemary, and some chopped pistachios. Out of he oven, a bit more cheese and a good drizzle of olive oil. That's it.

The absence of red sauce and mozzarella and/or provolone makes this a wonderfully light option as a minimalist supper, or a great appetizer option.

Enjoyed with a side salad and a lovely bottle of Prosecco.
