Chicken Tika masala first time trying a recipe I think will work, it has everything I like.its slow cooking for an hour or two to develope the flavours, I will serve with pappadoms and jasmine rice, my new fave rice. Daughter got me to switch from basmati rice. Pic later.

I like basmati and jasmine equally.

And for dessert some traditional Dutch sweets. Speculaas ( gingerbread biscuits) , and chocolate disks with candy topping. Which I got for free due to our spectacular loss at football.

Jasmine is the rice of choice here. Basmati is not easy to obtain. The latter is therefore around four times the price at least.

Basmati is grown here in SE Texas. It is easy to get, and not pricey. I don't know if Jasmin is grown here. It is in the grocery stores.

With something like chili poured over the rice, I can't tell what variety it is. I usually just buy "commodity" long grain white rice.
