YeahRösti looks a lot like hash browns. I grate raw potatoes and add a bit of flour and then pan cook in some oil, usually butter. I'll add salt and pepper and sometimes garlic but that's mostly it. Shape in the pan, round, and small enough to flip over without issue.
Thats the theory.
In practice I ended up adding eggs to make a potato omelette
