Wife wanted something different for veges to go with roast chicken(2) for family dinner. I flicked through my folders. I came across one I just made, it's basically potato dauphinois but layered in between with sliced pumpkin. We love pumpkin here so I made it. In the oven now. Pics later.
Butter plus garlic plus cream plus cheese......it has to be really good!!

Having a bit of fun in the kitchen today. Firstly made my version of a "Scorched Peanut Bar". A long time ago when I was a kid these were one of my favourites. Basically peanut brittle covered in chocolate, but I added chilli and tamarind to the mix. Then just now finished some crispy and spicy Chinese style beef strips in time to watch my footy team play, which will be washed down with a few cold beers.
