Dinner this evening: TVC served cassoulet.
That's a lot of ghee!Didn’t ’cook it’ today but some assembly work for the emergency pannier food.
A couple of @vernplum’s YOU *LAAAAAG noodles and a couple of rice pots vacuum packed to take up less space. Let’s hope that emergency food stays in the pannier

Almost without fail when travelling Mr SSOAP will say he fancies marmalade and do I have any marmalade?
Of course I don’t carry a jar of marmalade and even if I did mayonnaise is the only bread friendly grease in the pannier. Mayonnaise and marmalade, yum yum![]()

I realised that what with ghee being stored at ambient temperature and surviving in Indian sun providing I could portion it up and seal it would be safe in my pannier.
I bought a brand that tends to be more solid and I tried a thin spread on a piece of bread in place of butter and unsurprisingly it worked well.
Used a small icecream scoop, froze the balls and vacuum sealed them.
Bet Mr SSOAP doesn’t ask me this time![]()
Is that deviled ham spread?
Specifically, it’s ham salad, not the spicier deviled ham from a can.Is that deviled ham spread?
Isn't it. One of those scoops will do two small slices of bread. That's a lot of ghee!

B/S Chicken Thighs grilled with Herb de Provence
Grilled Broccolini with grated Parm
AF frozen Tater Tots, again with grated Parmesan Cheese - first time trying this - excellent !!!
Found your recipe and bookmarked thank you!Found some frozen, fully cooked, pre sliced, halal gyro meat when shopping, so bought it. Used a third of it tonight with homemade pita and tzatziki, with red onion and tomato garnish. Turned out pretty darn good. Still like our homemade gyro meat better, but this is a lot easier.
