I'm just hoping that using up that sliced cheddar isn't going to throw things off from grating my own...
But it's probably pretty hard to throw off a meatloaf

I might try something a little different for the gravy 🤔
Or not. Maybe just an onion gravy.

I also put cheddar cheese in my meatloaf. Cubed from a chunk or shredded (l/o from taco night), whichever is in the fridge. I also add ketchup, mustard, bell pepper, dry onion soup mix, egg, and rolled oats.

I was

I was just thinking Meatloaf! I haven't made in a whiles now.
I have to make my own Meatloaf Mix like the kind sold in other places... I use equal parts Ground Beef, Veal and Italian Sausage.
I use half for a Meatloaf and then other for Meatballs.
I wrap the loaf in raw Bacon, when the Bacon is crips, you'll know that so is the Meatloaf.
My SIL taught me this, she said that our MIL gave her this family tip. (I never got to meet my MIL)

I just use ground beef for my meatloaf or meatballs. But this is available here.

I put cheese chunks in my meatloaf, too. It's awesome

It was as I suspected.
The sliced cheese did not melt like the brick.
They probably use the same stuff as the bagged shredded available.

Those Brussels sprouts look awesome. Did you cut them in half and pan-fry them with a bit of oil and butter?

Thank you!
That's exactly how I did them.

A little oil and butter, cut side down, when they have browned flip them and add a little something to steam them and cover to finish.

Did you boil or blanch them first, or just cut from the start?
I have a thing I do with them: I get a deep golden brown on them, season them with kosher salt, sprinkle on some parmesan, and drizzle them with reduced balsamic vinegar.

I trimmed the stem end, cut them in half lengthwise, let fall any loose leaves, then set them in the pan to cook/saute flat side down.
No blanching because steaming them softens them up after you flip them.

I usually steam them about ten minutes. But the recipe says twenty. But in this case I turned the heat off about five minutes in because the meatloaf was taking too long. Then turned them back on later to reheat.
They are pretty forgiving.
