What did you cook or eat today? (November 2025)

I'm making my epic Thanksgiving sangwich tonight and doing the cranberry relish homemade.

I'm never buying store bought cranberry sauce ever again. This is literally the best cranberry sauce I've ever had. It's sweet, sharp, tart, acidic, well rounded and spicy (not capsaicin spicy, holiday spicy. Cinnamon, nutmeg).

Let’s see, trying to beat the weather while heading home to Lower Ohio from Middle New York, so…

mickey-poor hotel scrambled eggs and fried potatoes, yogurt and coffee; another coffee from BK (which was so bad, MrsT took a sip from it as soon as the BK worker handed it to her, announced, “God, that’s horrid!” and dumped it right in the trash right there), a bologna-and-cheese sandwich, Pringles, two pieces of black licorice, a cream-filled doughnut, a mug of tea, a hot toddy, and planning on from-the-freezer fish and chips later.

I was out, all day long, so when I finally got home, I made a leek, red pepper and sweetcorn quiche with tarragon, and some truffled potatoes.

When you say 'truffled potatoes', how are you making them? Mashed, roasted? And what form of truffle flavour: oil, butter, dust? Or maybe you sourced fresh truffles!

Wish I could get hold of fresh truffles!!
No , these were just boiled potatoes quickly sautéed in a little truffle oil. Sorry to disappoint! :D
