What did you cook or eat today? (November 2025)

The kinda Full English that was slow cooked overnight was a big hit. Didn’t get to it til midday as youngest was delayed and then delayed again.
I thought after 14 hours in the slow cooker (12 cooking and 2 on warm) it would be ruined but not so!

Will defo be doing it again, but will be adding a poached/fried egg because the egg, hash brown and spring onion mixed was very tasty (and will be staying) but I missed having a runny yolk. I would also ram more mushrooms in, what you can see in the cup is a full 300g punnet which as mushrooms do disappeared into nothing.

Everyone else had double whats on my plate in the pic below!
Eldest said the Fat Bacon was the best bacon he’s ever had so that was nice to hear.

I’m aware this is looks rather unappealing but it tasted great! Even the sausages browned themselves in the slow cooker!

We were home sooner than expected because the car has trouble with it's ignition and we needed a mechanic to repair it. It's brought us home but we'll have to bring it to be repaired later this week. So I made pasta bake with mixed grilled vegetables and ricotta & tomato sauce. No pic because I forgot out of tiredness from all the exitement 😆

Sorry to hear.
I hope you still enjoyed your holiday

Turkey soup from leftover Thanksgivings dinner, it’s small bird for USA, only 13 lbs and it’s gone fast. This soup is for Monday because it takes time in slow cooker.
But for lunch, I’m making celeriac/leek au gratin, grilled porterhouse steak, it will be served with my garden watercress. I like the taste of beef, watercress, and some thin slices of red onion.

I had potatoes fried in pork belly fat
And an attempt at something with tomato, garlic, oregano, cheese and bacon with puff pastry top.
I though I could do this in the ooni pizza oven, but got scared after a while about themperatures & pyrex dish.
Moved to cast iron pan. Then made sure it got heated through on the stove before working on the puff pastry.
Lot of work, not easy, definitely not a looker, but quite tasty (but no pics)

Me and puff pastry are always at odds. I'm much better with biscuits.
