I know some people that had to cut their vacation short on account of the storm.
Might have been OBX. The road to their cabin was almost washed out when they left.

It's challenging cooking in a vacation kitchen. I had to use small bowls and coffee filters to strain my stock whereas at home I have fine mesh strainers. And their knives suck and I have limited pots, pans, bowls, and utensils. But I'm making do.
 
Yesterday's hotel dinner. It was fine, for an office canteen.

Overcooked cod with mustard sauce and decorations from the 70's for my husband.

A decent steak with overcooked sprouts and sauce from the restaurant store. I just ate my steak with pepper instead. The fries served as a side seemed microwaved and the cooked carrots hadn't been peeled.

And I'm eating outside the hotel today! That's for sure.
