What did you cook or eat today? (October 2025)

I always take my own knife on holiday and on one occasion when I forgot I bought one from the supermarket. Not an expensive one but good enough to last the holiday.
Of course getting the knife out of the packaging using rickety scissors and incredibly dull knives provided entertainment for some time 😆

Crispy skin roasted thighs, sous vide carrots, roasted potatoes, and leek custard.

Yeah. I packed a lot of other stuff, like clothes, lol. To the point where I was 1.5 lbs over and had to shift my toiletries to DH's bag. Last few times we came here i drove and was able to bring more, so getting used to flying and cooking is different.

The first time we came here was during covid so we did curbside grocery only. Also how we found this place since it's condos in a townhouse style rather than towers.

There's nothing very cute about him. He's just an overweight eating machine with a tail that can reduce furniture to sawdust. He's also thick as 10 teak lavatory seats. I've tried to train him to sit, lie down, atc. all to no avail. The only command he responds to is "OUT!" - at which stage, he lies down.
We love him to bits!
