What did you cook or eat today? (October 2025)

A trick I learned in Hawaii: if you're grilled or broiling the protein, when they're just about done, brush them on both sides, lightly, with honey... that'll create that nice glaze and just a kiss of sweetness. I do that with my homemade Char Siu. I like that char (get it? :laugh: ) it gives.

I usually always sauce at the end, depending on how sugary the sauce is is started with.
 
Egg wash and crumbled twice. I think about 50. Actually exactly 50.
About to be free flow in the freezer.
Perfect entree.

I boil chicken and a steak. Keep the broth add gelatin. Make a roux add broth and minced meat. And cream. Leave to set
Spent an hour yesterday making and an hour to coat twice. Wife helped me

Hmm, I'll have to try something like that. How do you cook them? I'm thinking the gelatin will melt???
 
I agree. Maybe give one extra day for people to post last night's dinner.
Mod.comment: unfortunately that makes work for mods because members then keep adding stuff they cooked in the new month into the old thread and we have to move it. Its fine to just say that you cooked this last night or even two nights ago.
