So is it little bits of tinned clam in some sort of brine or oil?
Minced clams are chopped-up pieces of cooked clams, often found canned in their natural clam juice, providing a convenient and versatile ingredient for various dishes like chowders, stews, pasta sauces, and dips. Ready to eat, these clams offer the delicate flavor of fresh clams and are a good source of nutrients such as vitamin B12.So is it little bits of tinned clam in some sort of brine or oil?

Would you mind just clarifying what a clam is in American? Over here it’s a very specific thing.Minced clams are chopped-up pieces of cooked clams, often found canned in their natural clam juice, providing a convenient and versatile ingredient for various dishes like chowders, stews, pasta sauces, and dips. Same concept. Instead of a tin of whole clams, they are minced/diced.

Cockles, here are tiny where I buy them. I toss them in the pot with oil, fresh garlic, clam juice, and fresh parsley. Clap a cover on, over low heat, wait for them to open. Then pour the whole pot over cooked linguine.Well that wasn't hard to Google.
You might know them as cockles.
But according to what I read, a cockle is specific to UK waters. So I guess a minced cockle would not be the exact same thing.
Same as the Italian vongole.Would you mind just clarifying what a clam is in American? Over here it’s a very specific thing.
